Continue the adventure
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course helps you to build confidence, dive safely to greater depths and expand and refine your scuba skills through a series of Adventure Dives.
The Course includes five adventure dives completed over two days (Saturday and Sunday) including peak performance buoyancy, navigation and a deep dive (to max 30m/90ft) plus two more adventure dives: boat diving and a naturalist/environmental awareness dive. The course includes your PADI e-learning (the theory component of the course which you can complete at home), three shore dives, two boat dives, certification fees and PADI Advanced Open Water Certification Card.
- Theory: Complete your e-Learning (online theory) at home or on the move before Day 1.
- Day 1: 8am to 5pm. Course Introduction. Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Naturalist dives.
- Day 2: 8am to 4pm (estimated). Knowledge Development, Deep dive and boat dive.
All equipment is included in the course cost with the exception of mask, snorkel, boots, fins and SMB (safety sausage) and spool. These items are considered to be personal items. For comfort, hygiene and safety reasons many students either already have these, or prefer to buy their own. Our professional staff can help you to find equipment that fits properly and suits your requirements. Alternatively, these items can all be rented ($25 for mask, snorkel, boots and fins, $25 for SMB and spool) for the duration of the course.
To book your course online simply select your start date and follow the prompts. You can also book by phone with credit card details or drop into the Dive Centre to book in-store. Payment is made at time of booking to secure your place and receive your PADI e-Learning access code - that way you can get started straight away!
To enrol you must hold a PADI Open Water Certification (or equivalent SSI, CMAS, RAID, other certification), be at least 12 years old, and be in good physical health. Note: divers aged 12-16 will receive a Junior Advanced Certification.
