Dive Centre Bondi now offers made-to-measure Navyfel drysuits, built for technical and cold-water divers. Once your order is lodged with us at Dive Centre Bondi, your suit is made in 28 days. Made-to-measure Santi suits typically take 8 to 12 weeks and Fourth Element 12 to 16 weeks, so Navyfel is the fastest route we know to a technical drysuit cut to your body.
We are Australia's only GUE dive centre, and long, cold technical dives are where a properly fitted suit matters most. We stock drysuits from Santi, Fourth Element, Avatar and Bare, and now Navyfel.
What is a Navyfel made-to-measure drysuit?
A Navyfel made-to-measure drysuit is a technical drysuit built to your measurements, with options you choose before it is made. Navyfel describes itself as a diver-led technical drysuit brand focused on cold-water performance, real-world testing and practical equipment design.
The model we list is the NAVYFEL GM Drysuit, built for extreme environments, from technical dives to cold-water exploration. Its features include:
- An insulating latex neck seal and silicone wrist seals, with quick-release soft ring systems at the neck and wrists
- Aquaseal upgraded sealing on the full-body seams
- Technical pockets on both legs, an in-house balanced pee valve, and a YKK nylon dry zipper (optional metal zipper) with a protective outer zipper over it
- A chest inflation valve and a left upper-arm exhaust valve
- A folded waist pattern for easier donning and doffing, and articulated underarm cutting for movement underwater
- An internal three-dimensional suspender system
- Abrasion-resistant reinforcement at the crotch and knees
- A weight of 4.8 kg (plus or minus 0.5 kg) depending on configuration and size
- An inflator hose and a multipurpose drysuit bag included
Custom colours, socks and the Navyfel quick-change seal system are all available at no extra cost.
If the GM is more suit than you need: the Navyfel Explore Light
The Navyfel Explore Light is a light, flexible, quick-drying drysuit for divers who want easy movement, lower carry weight and reliable cold-water protection. At $3,999 it is the value choice in the Navyfel range, and like the GM it is made to measure.
- Elastic trilaminate laminated fabric with an abrasion index of 70, and more than 20 fabric colours available
- A weight of 3.6 kg (plus or minus 0.5 kg) depending on configuration and size, against 4.8 kg for the GM
- An insulating latex neck seal, silicone wrist seals, and NF quick-release soft rings at the neck and wrists
- Waterproof rubber seam-strip sealing across the suit
- A YKK nylon dry zipper (optional metal zipper) with a protective outer zipper over it
- A chest inflation valve and a left upper-arm exhaust valve
- A folded waist pattern, articulated underarm cutting and an internal three-dimensional suspender system
- Two multifunctional technical diving pockets on the legs, and abrasion-resistant reinforcement at the crotch and knees
- An inflator hose and a multipurpose drysuit bag included, with a two-year suit warranty and 3 to 12 months of coverage on selected wear parts, subject to warranty terms
The pee valve and Aquaseal are not included on the Explore Light. If you are not sure which Navyfel suits the way you dive, come in and we will talk you through the GM and the Explore Light side by side.

Why made to measure suits technical diving
Technical dives are long, and you spend all of it in one suit, usually over bulky undergarments and under heavy kit. A suit cut to your body is more comfortable and easier to move in than one that is close but not right.
If you are tall, short, broad through the shoulders, or find that standard sizes fit in one place and not another, made to measure removes the compromise. It takes us about 45 minutes to size you up completely.
Made-to-measure lead times and our drysuit range
A made-to-measure Navyfel drysuit is made in 28 days from the day your order is lodged at Dive Centre Bondi. Here is how that compares across the brands we stock.
| Brand | Models in our store | Lead time |
|---|---|---|
| Navyfel | NAVYFEL GM Drysuit | Made to measure: 28 days from lodging at the shop |
| Santi | SANTI EDGE, Santi E.Lite PLUS | Made to measure: typically 8 to 12 weeks |
| Fourth Element | Argonaut 3.0 | Made to measure: typically 12 to 16 weeks |
| Avatar | Airon | Off the shelf; adjustments take around 8 weeks |
| Bare | Ask us in store about current models | Off the shelf; adjustments take around 8 weeks |
For most divers, that is the difference between a suit in hand within a month and one that arrives after most of a season has gone. It also matters if you are planning a trip or a course and do not want to wait. Browse the full range, including undergarments, in our drysuits and undergarments collection.
