GUE's most popular course — a gateway into GUE training and a completely new approach to diving.

From $1,145
Ask a GUE diver when everything clicked, and most of them will say Fundamentals.
Why Take This Course?
The GUE Basic Fundamentals course is GUE's most popular class. It gives all divers a chance to advance their foundational diving skills, and provides a gateway into GUE training and other GUE courses such as Scientific Diver, DPV 1, and more.
For many non-GUE divers, the final day of their Fundamentals class is the “aha!” moment where everything falls into place — stability, a whole new level of control in the water with greater situational awareness. Students finish this course with a completely new approach to diving.
You'll build a solid diving platform based on balance, trim, buoyancy and propulsion techniques, using GUE's intelligent online learning platform to master the theory at your own pace — meaning more time in the water, less time in the classroom. The course also includes the theory and use of nitrox.
