PADI PRO+ Reward Program

PADI has announced the PADI PRO+ Reward Program, and it's something the scuba instructor community has been asking for for years. If you've ever thought about turning your love of diving into a career, this is worth reading.

What is the PADI PRO+ Reward Program?

PADI introduced the PRO+ Reward Program to recognise and reward the most active members of the global dive instructor community. The concept is simple: the more students you certify, the more PADI gives back.

Certifications issued between 1 September 2025 and 31 August 2026 count toward your reward tier, with savings applied against your 2027 PADI Professional Membership renewal. The rewards are tiered, and at the top of the ladder PADI covers your membership renewal entirely.

Reach 50 or more certifications in the qualifying period and you're recognised with PADI's Elite Instructor Award. Reach 350 and your renewal is free.

Certifications Tier Points What that means
Any active certifications Entry Points accumulate Every cert counts from day one
50 Elite 50 50 Elite Instructor recognition begins here
100 Elite 100 100 Increased membership savings
150 Elite 150 250 Significant membership savings
250 Elite 250 500 Major membership savings
350 Elite 350 1,000 Full membership renewal covered by PADI

Rewards are applied against PADI's automatic renewal rates, so active instructors stack the lowest renewal rate available with their PRO+ savings.

PADI instructor teaching students underwater at Dive Centre Bondi, Sydney

Our Platinum 5 Star IDC award from PADI.

Why this matters if you're thinking about your IDC in Sydney

The PRO+ program rewards active instructors. The sooner you get certified and start teaching, the sooner you start earning those rewards. That's where our Instructor Development Course in Sydney comes in.

We run one of Australia's most highly regarded IDC programs, here in Bondi. Many of our graduates go on to achieve their Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) rating within about two months of completing the IDC. That's five specialty instructor ratings, giving you a broader teaching portfolio and a faster route to the higher PRO+ tiers.

From IDC to MSDT

The MSDT rating is one of the most respected milestones in a PADI instructor's career. It shows students, dive centres and liveaboards that you're a well-rounded professional. We support our newly qualified instructors in earning their specialty ratings quickly, so you're building a career rather than sitting on a basic instructor ticket.

PADI Staff Instructor, the next rung

For those who want to keep climbing, we also offer the PADI Staff Instructor course for MSDT graduates. As a Staff Instructor you can assist on IDCs and eventually teach portions of the IDC yourself, which is the route toward becoming a PADI Course Director.

Our IDC in Sydney: what sets us apart

  • Platinum 5 Star PADI IDC Centre — in 2026, the only one in NSW and one of only two in Australia.
  • Every candidate we have trained has passed the PADI Instructor Examination.
  • MSDT pathway built in — we actively support you in earning specialty instructor ratings after the IDC.
  • Staff Instructor progression for those who want to move into instructor training.
  • Video feedback on every skill, so you know exactly where you stand before the IE.
  • A real community. You're joining a team, not just taking a course.

We'll help you find work

Completing your IDC is step one. Our career assistance is designed to help you land a diving job, whether that's teaching in Sydney, working a liveaboard in the Coral Sea, instructing in Southeast Asia, or building your own dive operation. We'll help you put together your professional profile, prepare for interviews, and connect you with opportunities.

Ready to become a PADI Instructor in Australia?

The PRO+ Reward Program is a good reason to start now. With the qualifying window already underway, there's no better time to complete your IDC, get teaching, and start earning rewards from day one.
