Description

The Patented Bio-Seal is extremely pliable and molds itself to dry suit seals and skin equally well. This product can reduce, and in most cases, eliminate water leakage in the neck and wrist areas while allowing a more comfortable fit. The seal is latex free which may help those who are allergic or prone to neck rash.

Originally designed for use with neoprene seals, Bio-Seals also improves the fit and comfort of latex and silicone type seals. Please note: this product contains oils which can cause early wear in latex type seals. Rinse the Bio-Seal before first use and your suit seals after each use with fresh water to help delay this effect.

Apollo Bioseal

The parts that keep an expensive suit in the water

A drysuit is only dry until a seal tears — usually the week before a trip. Keeping a spare set of seals, a glove system or a set of gaiters on the shelf is the difference between a wet dive and a cancelled one.

Bring the suit in and we'll make sure the part matches it. Sizes and fittings vary between manufacturers and even between model years.

We can also arrange repairs and seal replacement — ask us rather than sending it interstate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our gear, courses, and policies.

Which drysuits can I buy off the shelf?

The Avatar Airon and the Bare Aquatrek Evo are our off-the-shelf suits — you can be diving one straight away.

How long does a made-to-measure suit take?

It depends on the brand. Navyfel is about 4 weeks, Bare about 8, Santi 8 to 10, and Fourth Element around 16. If you have a trip booked, work backwards from that date and come and talk to us early.

Which drysuit should I go for?

It depends on the diving you want to do — cave, cold water and travel all pull in different directions on material, seals and pockets. Tell us what you want to use it for and we will tell you honestly which suit fits that.

Does the suit itself keep me warm?

No — the undergarment does. The suit is a shell that keeps water out; the loft underneath is what holds the heat. Getting that layer right matters as much as the suit, and bulkier is not automatically warmer.
