Description
Halcyon Symbios™ Blue Dive Computer
Built for divers who demand precision without the clutter, the Halcyon Symbios™ Blue is a compact, open-circuit dive computer designed to grow seamlessly as your training advances. Whether executing multi-gas decompression profiles or foundational skill refinement, the Symbios Blue delivers critical data through an ultra-crisp interface, paired with one of the most intuitive app ecosystems in the industry.
Uncompromising Visibility & Control The 2.4-inch transflective color screen utilizes ambient light to maximize clarity in direct sun, while a quick backlight tap illuminates your data in dark environments. The screen sits slightly recessed within its housing to dodge scratches during heavy use. Its two-button interface offers a firm, tactile push that is easily manipulated, even when wearing thick gloves or dryglove rings.
Profile-First App Integration Leave the boat-time fiddling behind. The Symbios Blue pairs flawlessly with the Halcyon smartphone app, utilizing a profile-first workflow. The app allows you to configure gases, adjust gradient factors, and build site-specific dive profiles directly from your phone. Simply sync your device before splashing, and your handset is locked in and ready for the dive plan.
Key Specifications
- Operating Modes: Multi-gas Open Circuit (OC), Sidemount, Gauge, and Buddy-Screen layouts. (Note: The Blue model is dedicated to open-circuit and does not support CCR integration).
- Advanced Navigation: A fast-reacting, tilt-compensated bar-style compass ensures you won't "out-turn" your heading during complex navigation.
- Tactile Alerts: Clear vibration alerts that are easily noticed inside a thick hood without being jarring.
- Algorithm: Utilizes the proven ZHL-16C algorithm for reliable decompression planning.
- Display Layouts: Clean, easily readable default views with the option to switch to a large-format screen that displays only essential, scan-and-go data.
Next-Level Air Integration & Trim Coaching When paired with the optional Halcyon Tank Pod, the Symbios Blue goes beyond standard wireless gas pressure monitoring. The Tank Pod actively measures your rig's tilt, providing real-time trim-angle feedback directly to the handset. This makes it an exceptional tool for dialing in perfect horizontal positioning during training and technical work.

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our gear, courses, and policies.
Which computer should I buy?
Buy one that will still suit you in three years — nitrox now, decompression and gas switching later. Replacing a computer because your diving grew is an expensive way to learn that lesson. We stock Shearwater, Garmin and Suunto because they are what our instructors and technical divers actually wear.
Do I need air integration?
It is convenient rather than essential — it puts your cylinder pressure on the same screen as your depth and time. If you want it, the transmitter has to match the computer's brand, so it is worth deciding before you buy rather than after.
Will you set it up for me?
Yes. Buy it here and we will set it up with you before you leave — conservatism, gas mixes, alarms and pairing your transmitter — so your first dive with it is not spent reading a manual on the boat.
Will it still work as I move into technical diving?
That depends on the model. Shearwater computers handle trimix and closed circuit; most entry-level recreational computers do not. Tell us where you want your diving to go and we will steer you to one that gets there with you.
