Description

The Sharkskin T2 Chillproof one-piece full suit provides complete protection from the cold, sun, and marine stingers. It is designed to be worn instead of a wetsuit in warmer waters or under an existing wetsuit for additional warmth in colder waters. The 4-way stretch material is comfortable and less buoyant than neoprene, reducing the amount of weight needed, making scuba diving or snorkeling more comfortable.

The chest zip design offers greater flexibility in the torso, reduces water flow, and looks great. The zip on the upper arm is ideal for storing small items like keys. The large cargo pocket on the thigh can be used to store accessories such as sharkskin water-resistant phone pouches, water bottles, or torches in an easily accessible and secure design.

The Sharkskin T2 Chillproof range is an advanced version of the standard Chillproof range. This new range incorporates Titanium Far Infrared (FIR) nano-technology into the fabric, which retains body heat, improves circulation, and enhances metabolic function. The T2 Chillproof range is 100% windchill proof and has the same thickness as the standard Chillproof range, but provides the warmth equivalent to a 4-5mm wetsuit. This makes it a great substitute for a wetsuit in warmer waters or an extra layer of insulation in colder waters. The Titanium nano-particles reflect and retain the Far Infrared heat energy emitted from our bodies, effectively keeping us warmer and increasing blood flow for better metabolic function and recovery. The T2 Chillproof range is perfect for scuba diving, snorkeling, and all water sports where you need extra warmth, comfort, and protection from the cold.

The cheapest way to stay in the water longer

Most divers don't need a thicker suit — they need a layer under the one they own. A thermal top or hooded vest under a 5mm turns a marginal winter dive into a comfortable one, for a fraction of the cost of a new suit.

It also solves the surface interval. Sydney wind on a wet diver between dives is why a lot of second dives get called off. These dry fast and wear well topside.

Ask us what pairs with the suit you already have — we'll tell you honestly if you don't need it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our gear, courses, and policies.

How thick should my wetsuit be for Sydney?

For year-round diving here, 7mm or thicker. The water sits around 16–18°C in winter, and most people who buy a 5mm to save money end up buying twice.

What is a semi-dry, and is it worth it?

A semi-dry has proper seals at the wrists, ankles and neck, so the water that gets in stays in and warms up instead of flushing through. It is the warmest wetsuit option and the one we would recommend if you want to keep diving through winter without going to a drysuit.

My wetsuit is really hard to get on — is it too small?

Probably not. A thick suit is meant to be a struggle for the first minute. It has to fit like a second skin, because any gap is water moving around and carrying your heat away with it. If it slips on easily, it is too big and it will not keep you warm.

Can I wear thermal layers under my wetsuit?

Yes. A thermal top or vest under your suit is the cheapest way to add real warmth without buying a thicker suit, and the same layers work under a drysuit as well.

My feet get cold. What can I do?

Wear a sock inside your boot. It is a small thing that makes the second dive a lot more pleasant.
