Description

Si Tech offer a great variety of wrist seals for a diverse range of professions, users and needs. As pioneers within diving they have been developing wrist seals since early 70´s. Our range of wrist seals consist of Silicone and Latex seals.

Silicone seals are highly durable and resistant to degradation by UV light, ozone and chemicals. The elasticity makes donning the suit much easier and it seals with your skin more effectively. Since the pressure is lower on the wrists your hands will stay warmer.

Latex Seals are the most commonly used seals in the market today. Latex Seals offer enhanced strength compared to Silicone Seals, but life span is shorter as it degrades from UV light, ozone or chemicals.

Si Tech Drysuit Seals

The parts that keep an expensive suit in the water

A drysuit is only dry until a seal tears — usually the week before a trip. Keeping a spare set of seals, a glove system or a set of gaiters on the shelf is the difference between a wet dive and a cancelled one.

Bring the suit in and we'll make sure the part matches it. Sizes and fittings vary between manufacturers and even between model years.

We can also arrange repairs and seal replacement — ask us rather than sending it interstate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our gear, courses, and policies.

Which drysuits can I buy off the shelf?

The Avatar Airon and the Bare Aquatrek Evo are our off-the-shelf suits — you can be diving one straight away.

How long does a made-to-measure suit take?

It depends on the brand. Navyfel is about 4 weeks, Bare about 8, Santi 8 to 10, and Fourth Element around 16. If you have a trip booked, work backwards from that date and come and talk to us early.

Which drysuit should I go for?

It depends on the diving you want to do — cave, cold water and travel all pull in different directions on material, seals and pockets. Tell us what you want to use it for and we will tell you honestly which suit fits that.

Does the suit itself keep me warm?

No — the undergarment does. The suit is a shell that keeps water out; the loft underneath is what holds the heat. Getting that layer right matters as much as the suit, and bulkier is not automatically warmer.
