Explore Sydney's underwater world at speed with our SUEX VR Quantum DPV — an underwater scooter that covers more ground with less effort, opening up dive sites and routes normally out of reach. For certified Advanced Open Water and DPV divers with recent, extensive dive experience.

Guided DPV Shore Dives

  • Coogee to Wedding Cake Island — a fantastic route that allows us to circumnavigate the famous island, discovering a thriving underwater world with abundant fish life and sponges.
  • Gordon's Bay to Shark Point, Clovelly — a vibrant dive site with diverse marine life, interesting topography, and the odd grey nurse shark.
  • North Bondi — rocky reefs and “The Cathedral”, an underwater cavern with swim-throughs where you might spot wobbegong sharks and giant cuttlefish — easy to reach with the DPV.
  • Shiprock, Port Hacking — a macro photographer's dream wall dive with seahorses, pineapple fish, anglerfish and a bubble cave; time-sensitive, done at specific tides.
  • The Steps to Monument, Kurnell, Botany Bay — famous for weedy sea dragon sightings.
  • Mystery sites — depending on the day's conditions, we might explore a new, lesser-known spot.

After a detailed briefing, we will head out for a long dive using the underwater scooters.

How do I book a dive?
Pick a date on the booking widget, complete the form, and you'll receive a confirmation email.
What's included in the price?
The guide and the dive. You can select any additional equipment rental, including the DPV, during the booking process.
Do I need certification?
Yes — you'll need Advanced Open Water and DPV certification, at least 25 logged dives, and to have dived within the last 3 months. Bring your cards and logbook on the day.
What if conditions aren't safe?
We monitor conditions daily. If the dive can't go ahead safely, we'll reschedule at no cost.
What if I need to reschedule?
Rescheduling is free as long as it's more than 72 hours before your dive. Inside 72 hours there's a $50 transfer fee.
Can a friend or partner join for the day if they're not diving?
They're very welcome to meet us at the dive site, but unfortunately we don't have a spare seat in the vehicle for them.
I want to do this privately, or with just my friends — can that be done?
Yes! We run private dives and tours for individuals and groups when the scheduled dates don't line up with your availability. Get in touch and we'll arrange one for you.
Where will we dive?
This depends on the conditions on the day. We always pick the best and safest site for the swell, wind and visibility at the time, and we'll confirm where we're heading on the morning.
Where should we park?
Ocean Street North is your best bet — free parking all day, a short walk from the dive centre. From there you can either come with us to the dive site or take your own car.
Can I use my own vehicle?
Definitely. Meet us at the dive centre to get fitted for your equipment — we'll transport it to the site and back for you. If you drive yourself you can head off straight from the dive site instead of coming back to the centre for the clean-up.
Should I come earlier to try on the equipment?
No need. The start time is the time we want you at the dive centre — fitting your equipment is already built into it.
I don't have a dive buddy — is that okay?
Absolutely. We'll pair you with another diver in the group or with the instructor running the session. Coming on your own is completely normal here.
I don't have any equipment — can I still join?
Yes. We have a big range of scuba equipment available for you to use.
